Athletic Career at Orange Lutheran
A four-year varsity player for Lancer basketball, Steve was one of the original "Legends of the Hardwood". As a senior, Steve was All-Arrowhead League and All-CIF. He played on the Varsity golf team in 1976 and 1977 and was a member of the Lancer Club from 1976-1978. 
Post High School Experiences
Upon graduation, Steve headed east to Concordia College in Seward, Nebraska, having earned both an academic and basketball scholarship. There his passion for basketball continued where he played all four years and stayed on a fifth year as an Assistant Coach for the Bulldogs.
