Patrick Bagatourian was a standout basketball player for the Lancers during his time at Orange Lutheran. He was an All-League player in 1988 and 1989 earned All-League honors for a second time while also receiving the League MVP award, and All-CIF.Â
He holds the record for most free throws made in a season, with 220, as a senior. Patrick is tied at 13th for all-time rebounds, with 450, and impressive deat considering Patrick is only 6'2" but played power forward and center for the Lancers.Â
His teammates and coaches said that what he lacked in size, he made up for in heart. Teammates included Jason Neben `89 adn Daryl Cole `90, both of whom are in the Athletics Hall of Fame, and well as Kent Dowding `90, son of the late Bob Dowding, also in the Athletics Hall of Fame.Â
