Athletics Dead Period
As a CIF-SS member school, we are required to observe a 14-day "dead period" during the summer, during which no athletic activities or contact of any kind are permitted. For the summer of 2026, this period will take place from June 22 to July 5.

Incoming Freshman Strength Performance Camp
Participation in the Incoming Freshman Sports Performance Camp is MANDATORY for students who plan to participate in athletics physical education (APE) during their freshman year. The following sports take part in APE: Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Flag Football, Lacrosse, Soccer, Softball, STUNT, Tennis, Track, Volleyball, Water Polo, and Wrestling. Athletic Clearance
New student-athletes need to create an account and profile on AthleticClearance.com.
- Athletic Clearance registration for the 2026-2027 school year will open on May 25, 2026.
- Registration must be completed before the student-athlete participates in any sport-related activity (including tryouts, summer training, in-and off-season training, practices, etc.) or by August 18, 2026, whichever comes first.

Physicals
All athletes must receive medical clearance before trying out or participating in Orange Lutheran High School athletics. A sports physical conducted by a licensed medical professional (MD or DO) is required. Please download and bring the physical form provided below to your appointment. The completed evaluation must include the doctor's signature, office stamp, and exam date.
Important: The physical must be dated after May 25, 2026.
