Athletic Career at Orange Lutheran
A three-sport varsity athlete, Renee could be seen on the volleyball and basketball courts as well as out on the track. She had individual CIF/SS Championships in the 100M hurdles in 1991 and in the 300M hurdles in 1990 and 1991. She was also named "Most Athletic" alongside her now-husband (and fellow Hall of Fame inductee) Phil Matheson `91. 
Post High School Experiences
Renee attended Arizona State University and walked on to the track and field team for the Sun Devils for a short time her freshman year.
