Athletic Caraeer at Orange Lutheran
The consummate scholar-athlete, Amber participated in a wide variety of sports while at Orange Lutheran. She began her Orange Lutheran athletic career playing softball, soccer, and running cross-country. By her senior year, she had an extensive career in cross-country and track and field. She was LA Times Track and Field Athlete of the Year her sophomore year. She has multiple league titles including MVP and All-League. She was All-CIF in cross country, soccer, and track and field and All-State in cross country and track. Her success was not limited to athletics; she was also her class' valedictorian.Â
Post High School Experiences
Amber went on to cross country and track and field success at the University of Nebraska, pursuing her degree in Biology. She graduated in 1997 and was inducted into the Husker Hall of Fame in 2008. She continued her studies at the graduate level at the University of California, Irvine where she earned her Masters in Biology (Physiology and Biophysics).Â
