When it comes to Orange Lutheran Football, the 2006 season stands out as the brightest in school history.Â
After winning the CIF Division IV title in 2004, the Lancers took it ot the next level. OLu compiled a record of 14-1 in 2006 and won a share of the Trinity League title. The Lancers won the first-ever CIF PAC-5 title by defeating Edison 30-20 on December 9, 2006. The team then capped off the amazing season by winning the CIF Division II State Championship, defeating Palo Alto 42-28 on December 16, 2006.Â
On the season, the Lancers averaged a blistering 34 points per game and allowed only 18 points per game. The team notched wins over powerhouse programs such as Long Beach Poly, Mater Dei, and Tesoro. The Lancer's lone loss came in double overtime to Servite.Â
