Patrick Salyer played football and basketball while at Orange Lutheran and was a star performer on the hardwood. In 1999 and 2000, as an upperclassman, he was an All-League performer. His senior year, he received All-CIF honors. Salyer is among the all-time leaders in scoring and rebounding. As a senior, he set the record for most blocked shots ina. single game season.Â
Patrick also made his presence known on the gridiron. He was selected as an All-CIF football player in 2000, and he was also an All-State selection that year. He played in the OC All-Star North vs South game as a senior, and he was also captain of the football and basketball teams, valedictorian, and homecoming king.Â
Patrick attended Harvard, graduating magna cum laude. He played football and basketball during his collegiate years. He also operated a nonprofit food service in his dorm, providing affordable food for students. This took place at the same time that Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg was also attending Harvard and living in Kirkland House.Â
In 2006, Patrick married fellow Harvard graduate, Gretchen Weingarth. The couple moved to Palo Alto to pursue careers in the tech industry. They have two daughters, Kate Elizabeth and Emily Christine. Patrick's siblings, Kyle and Elizabeth, graduated from Orange Lutheran in `96 and `99.Â
As chief executive officer, Patrick is responsible for tech company Gigya's overall business strategy and day to day operations. Before joining Gigya, Patrick co-founded a suite of social network applications and games, and served as associate consultant for L.E.K. Consulting, a strategy consulting firm.Â
