On Monday, the Orange Lutheran Lancers
girls golf team won the
school's first CIF-SS girls golf title after shooting a -19 under par round in the
Division 1 Finals at Los Serranos Golf Course.
The Lancers, who finished 2nd in the Trinity League, beat fellow league school and league champion Santa Margarita by ten strokes. Juniors
Jude Lee and
Ally Kim each shot -5 rounds. Junior
Charlene Woo shot a -4 (70), freshman
Myla Robinson was three under par (71), and sophomore Gabby Kim was -2 (72). Senior captain
Mason Egdahl was the other Lancer to compete in the group of 6.
One of the key holes on the round was the par five 13th hole. The Lancers shot a combined -4 on the hole with one eagle, three birdies, one par, and one bogey.
The
Lancers season will continue on Thursday as four girls (
Jude Lee,
Myla Robinson,
Ally Kim, and
Charlene Woo) compete in the CIF-SS Individual final at Temecula Creek CC. At the same time, the team will be fighting for a spot in the CIF State Southern Regional round on November 14. The top 4 teams out of 12 will advance.
