Orange Lutheran High School is excited to welcome Allison Cook as the new Head Girls Beach Volleyball Coach. Coach Cook combines competitive excellence with a Christ-centered approach, making her a wonderful addition to the Lancer community.
Cook has a passion for building athletes who grow not only in skill and competition but also in character and leadership. Her coaching journey began with Sand Soul, a Christian-led volleyball program dedicated to developing athletes on and off the court. She has since gained experience at both the high school and collegiate levels, including time at Crean Lutheran, Cerritos College, and currently at Irvine Valley College.
In addition, Orange Lutheran is pleased to share that Coach Marc Laulhere—OLu Hall of Fame coach and founder of the school's beach volleyball program—will also be serving as a coach in the program. With his deep experience and longstanding commitment to the Lancer community, Coach Laulhere's presence will continue to be a tremendous asset to our student-athletes.
Coach Cook shared her excitement about this new role:
"I am very excited to be joining such an amazing school that offers so much to its students. I am eager to build great relationships with the players, parents, and staff. I want to foster a competitive, faith-filled environment where the players truly love the sport and are willing to give their all. Beach volleyball is a very physical and strategic sport, so diving deep into those areas will be the top priority, and I want to do everything I can for these girls to help them feel confident while competing. I truly cannot wait to meet the team and get on the sand with the girls! I am very excited for my first year at Orange Lutheran and hopefully, many more to come!"
The Lancers look forward to a bright future for girls' beach volleyball under this dynamic leadership team. Welcome to the program, Coach Cook, and thank you, Coach Laulhere, for your ongoing service!
