For the third straight year, the OLu girls water polo team is Trinity League champions. In a match up between the two top teams in the state, the Lancers avenged three prior defeats to Mater Dei this season by downing the Monarchs in a thriller 10-9.  

The win capped a 21-3 regular season and is the program's seventh league title overall. OLu will enter the CIF playoffs as the #1 seed out of the Trinity League. The brackets will be released on the CIF website at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 31. The Lancers have won back-to-back CIF open division championships.
