The perfect season is complete! The OLu girls water polo team finished an undefeated (31-0) season with a CIF State Regional Title victory 8-4 over Mater Dei on Saturday afternoon.
 

Tied 2-2 late in the first half, Michelle Urkov converted on the six on 5 to give the Lancers a 1-goal advantage at the break. In the 3rd period, seniors Sofia Umeda and Samantha Kim took over. Each scored two goals in the frame, pushing the lead to 4. They finished it off 8-4.
 

The state championship is the 2nd in program history, the previous coming in 2019. OLu captured every title they could this season. They won their three tournaments: the Trinity League title, the CIF-SS Open Division title, and the State Regional title.
