Coach Zach Verlaan is returning for his 6th season as part of the coaching staff with Orange Lutheran Baseball and is currently a Social Studies teacher on campus at OLu. Zach played baseball and graduated from Orange Lutheran in 2010 before returning to the Lancers. Coach Verlaan played Division 2 baseball and graduated from Holy Names University (Oakland, CA) in 2015. He then returned to Orange County to begin his coaching career. Zach was a varsity assistant at Canyon High School in Anaheim Hills for 4 seasons, primarily working with infielders and hitters. During this time, he earned his Social Studies teaching credential from Concordia University Irvine. Zach also completed his master's in coaching and athletic administration from Concordia. He has also coached travel ball for boys ages 11-18, has experience running camps and showcases, and has given private instruction over the last nine years. Coach Verlaan is incredibly humbled and blessed to be part of the Orange Lutheran Baseball Family.
