For Vitters, baseball is life. He was part of Cypress High School's first-ever CIF championship as a sophomore in 2005, winning the team's silver slugger award after hitting .444. Josh was Gatorade California high school player of the year as a senior in 2007. He was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the first round of the 2007 MLB draft at 17 years old and played in the MLB Futures game in 2009 in St. Louis. He went on to be an All-Star in Single-A (Peoria Chiefs), Double-A (Tennessee Smokies), and Triple-A (Iowa Cubs) and made his MLB debut in 2012. He played in Venezuela's major leagues for Leones De Caracas in 2013. This will be Vitters first official year of coaching as he brings his diverse learnings and unique life experience to help prepare boys for success.
