Sam Utu Named 2026 OC Register Male Athlete of the Year

Recent Orange Lutheran graduate Sam Utu has been named 2026 Male Athlete of the Year by the OC Register. Sam is a 4 year varsity football athlete as well as playing 3 years on varsity volleybal. During his senior season he earned All-CIF Southern Section and All- Orange County First Team Offensive Tackle honors in football, along with being named the 2026 CIF-SS Divsion 2 Boys Volleyball Player of the Year as well as First Team All-Orange County. Sam will be attending Southern Methodist University in the fall to play football.

"I definitely will most remember the relationships I built in our school over my four years," Utu said. "And I'll always remember all the people there who helped me in my athletics and my academics, the camaraderie and the love that was poured into me."
