The seniors led the Lancers, contributing all 3 RBIs, runs scored, and innings pitched, with Ricardo Hurtado leading off the bottom of the 1st with a double and CJ Weinstein following up with an RBI single to give the Lancers a 1-0 lead in the first inning. After a back-to-back strikeouts by Sides to get out of a bases-loaded jam in the top of the 4th, Hamilton Friedberg singled and CJ Weinstein scored to make it 2-0.  Brady Murrietta added another one in the bottom on the 5th with an RBI double that scored Zion Avina. Cooper Sides struck out 10 over 6 innings, while Marcus Greis got the save with 1 K in the top of the 7th inning.

The second round of the CIF-SS Division 1 Playoffs saw the baseball team travel to Corona for a top 10 matchup. Senior Brady Murrietta got the Lancers off to a hot start once again with a solo home run in the top of the first. The middle innings were run by the Panthers but RBIs by Jordan Kurz and Eric Zdunek in the 4th and 5th innings cut the deficit down to 6-3 going into the 6th inning. Brady Murrietta started the comeback with a two run home run, his second of the game. Hamilton Freidberg followed with a two RBI single to tie the game. After getting out of a bases loaded jam in the bottom of the 6th, the top of the lineup was due up. The inning began with a leadoff walk by Rock Akahi, followed by a sacrafice bunt by Zion Avina and a double by Ricardo Hurtado put runners on second and third for Brady Murrietta. Brady completed the hat trick with a third home run, this one into right field to give the Lancers the 9-6 lead and after a shut down inning by Paul Mittman, the victory.

Softball CIF-SS Division 1 Playoffs
Determined to open their playoff journey on a good note, softball hosted Millikan on Friday, May 15. Senior Rylee Silva set the tone with 2 strikeouts in the top of the first inning. At the bottom of the first, Sierra Nichols led off with a single, followed by a Madelyn Armendariz walk. Cate Medvitz brought Nichols home with an RBI single, making it 1-0 Lancers at the end of the first inning. 3 more strikeouts for Silva in the top of the second, followed by a grand slam by Madelyn Armendariz in the bottom of the second, continued a great start to the first game of the playoffs. Carlie Snyder homered in the bottom of the third, making it 6-0 for the Lancers. RBIs by Cate Medvitz, Carlie Snyder, and Mia Scott in the bottom of the 4th made it 10-0, the eventual final score after a 1-2-3 top of the 5th inning. Rylee Silva finished with 7 Ks over 4 innings, allowing only 2 hits, while Jo Marsh finished the game with 1 hit allowed over 1 inning.

Following the 10-0 first-round win, the Lancers were right back at it at home on Saturday for round 2 against Chino Hills. With both teams coming off a game the day before, the offenses took center stage. A bases-loaded walk from Melia Munoz, followed by back-to-back singles from Mia Scott and Rylee Silva, gave the Lancers a 3-0 lead after 1 inning and sent the game off and running. The Huskies got 3 back in the top of the 2nd, making it 3-4. The Lancers answered with 4 in the bottom of the 2nd with RBI's from Carlie Snyder and Rylee Silva, making it 8-3, but we were just getting started. 2 home runs by Chino Hills once again brought them within 1 run again, making it 7-8. The Lancers once again answered the call and extended their lead with an RBI double by Rylee Silva, followed by an Eliza Johnson 3-run home run, making it 12-7 after 4 innings. The Lancers really stretched their lead in the bottom of the 5th with an RBI by Jo Marsh, and 2-run home runs by both Rylee Silva and Sierra Nichols. The Huskies would try their best to fight back with 5 runs in the top of the 6th, but the exciting game ended 17-14 in favor of the Lancers.
