With only 4 minutes remaining in extra time and penalty kicks seemingly in the future, senior Jimu Lee ended that thought by scoring a game-winning golden goal to lift the Lancers to a 2-1 win over Hart in the second round of the CIF Division 1 playoffs.

Hart opened the scoring with a penalty kick goal in the 30th minute.  OLu equalized 4 minutes later when Alex Vasquez scored off a Xavier Alcantar corner kick.



The score remained 1-1 through the first overtime, and OLu almost won it early in the 2nd overtime when senior Tito Dorton beat the goalie but hit the crossbar, denying the game-winner.  In the 96th minute, freshman Issac Ortiz's long throw-in was deflected by Vasquez and fell at the feet of Lee, who turned and scored with his left foot from 5 yards out.  

The win extended the Lancers CIF winning streak to 10 straight.  OLu will host Oak Park in the CIF Quarterfinals on Tuesday, February 13, at 5 p.m.
