Jon is no stranger to OLu, having previously served as Associate Director of Admissions and Boys Head Soccer Coach, supporting both our students and our admissions team. Since then, he has expanded his leadership experience as Director of Scouting & Recruitment for Real Salt Lake (RSL), where he oversaw the identification and recruitment of all players to RSL, ranging from elite youth players at both local and national levels to signing first-team players both domestically and abroad. He built and managed one of the largest scouting networks in Major League Soccer, coordinating trial opportunities, player signings, and collaborating with coaches, analysts, and performance staff to ensure alignment with the club’s focus on player development. His work emphasized the integration of data-driven evaluation, video analysis, and live scouting to ensure the club attracted players who fit both the competitive demands of Major League Soccer and the culture of Real Salt Lake.
