Orange Lutheran Athletics continues to demonstrate its commitment to excellence in the classroom, as multiple Lancer programs were recognized in the 2025–26 CIF Southern Section–Ford Academic Awards.

Leading the way, OLu Flag Football earned the top academic honor in its division, posting an outstanding 3.833 team GPA to finish first among large-enrollment schools. The team was honored on April 20 at Angel Stadium of Anaheim during a pre-game ceremony, where they received a championship banner recognizing their achievement. 

In addition to this achievement, 26 Orange Lutheran programs received Academic Honorable Mention recognition, reflecting a department-wide commitment to academic success.

The CIF Southern Section Academic Awards program recognizes teams across 29 sports that achieve exceptional cumulative grade point averages, with more than 2,600 teams participating this year.

"We are proud of the way our student-athletes continue to pursue excellence in the classroom," said Athletic Director Karen Kekipi. "This recognition reflects a daily commitment to growth, responsibility, and using their God-given talents. It speaks to the culture our coaches and students are building across every program."

These honors reflect Orange Lutheran's ongoing commitment to developing Christ-centered student-athletes who compete with excellence and lead with character.
