Lancers Capture Trinity League Title

The OLu girls' water polo team defeated Mater Dei on Wednesday, 9-5, to capture their second straight league title and sixth overall in program history.

OLu pulled away in the 4th period after leading 6-5 into the frame. The Lancers shut out the Monarchs 3-0 to complete the win.

This was the Lancers' second win over Mater Dei this season; they defeated them 11-9 in the Santa Barbara Tournament of Champions semifinals.

The Lancers are currently 18-0 and ranked #1 in CIF and OC Varsity polls. This weekend, OLu competes in the SoCal Champs tournament, followed by two games against Downey and Alta Loma before CIF playoffs open in February.
