Three OLu boys golfers are headed to the CIF-SS Individual Regionals. Senior Ian Shahwan, Junior Cooper Nelson, and sophomore George Kridner placed in the top 7 of Trinity League finals to punch their ticket.

 

The tournament began on Monday with 48 golfers. After the 1st day, the field was cut in half, with 5 Lancers making the 2nd round. Johnny Rasmussen and Nic Tumminello joined the Shahwan, Nelson, and Kridner for day 2.

 

Following the 2nd round, only the top 7 moved onto CIF, with the Lancers taking 3 of the seven spots. Shahwan booked his ticket in a playoff converting a birdie on the 1st hole.

 

Rasmussen ended 2nd-team All-League after finishing inside the cut line for all-league slots. Shahwan, Nelson, and Kridner all finished 1st-team All-League.

 

The 3 CIF qualifiers will tee it up on Tuesday, May 9, at Los Serranos Golf Course, with the top 20 individuals advancing to CIF Finals.
