The OLu boys tennis team won a thriller 10-8 over El Dorado in the CIF-SS Division 3 second round to advance to the quarters.
After the first two rounds of play, the match was tied at 6-6. With the game in the balance, freshman Nathanael Rider defeated his opponent in the day's final match to secure victory.
The Lancers had many come-from-behind victories in the win, which were vital. Manuel Choi and Garo Garabedian had big wins as a doubles tandem. Paul Dandler swept his three matches while Michael Ishizaki and Chris Choi swept their doubles matches.
OLu is off to the quarterfinals, where they will meet Poly Riverside on Monday, May 9, at Anaheim Tennis Center.
