The OLu softball team opened the 2023 Division 1 CIF playoffs with a 10-0 win over Roosevelt.

 

The Lancers started the scoring in the 1st when Tessa Jerue singled home, Mya Diaz. Jerue wasn’t done, as she hit a grand slam in the 4th to extend the lead to 8-0. She finished with 5 RBIs. Kai Minor added a solo HR in the 3rd.

 

Brianne Weiss picked up the win by throwing a five-inning shutout.

 

The Lancers will play the winner of Chino Hills/Oaks Christian in the quarterfinals on Tuesday, May 9.
