Orange Lutheran Athletics is excited to announce the hiring of Jon Spencer as our new Head Boys Soccer Coach and Head of Soccer Operations.
“Orange Lutheran has the utmost confidence in Coach Spencer's experience and his passion for leading our program in a way that aligns with and upholds our school’s mission, vision, and important cultural standards,” school administration said in an email to families regarding the hiring of Coach Spencer.
Spencer comes to Orange Lutheran after a successful tenure at Servite High School. He led the Friars to two CIF-SS Titles and seven consecutive Trinity League Titles. Spencer has twice been named the Orange County Register Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2020. A graduate of UC Irvine, he was a midfielder and a captain on the Anteaters soccer team. Spencer is married to his wife Heather and they have 3 young children, sons Luke and Joshua, and daughter Nicole.
“I am excited to be joining the OLu Family,” Spencer said. “The Lord led me to Orange Lutheran, and I am thrilled that I will be working with these young men and women. I enjoy coaching student-athletes in a Christ-Centered environment and look forward to leading the soccer program to excellence both on and off of the field. It will be fun to see these young people develop into awesome leaders who are committed to their faith in Christ.”
The boys soccer season is scheduled to start in March 2021.
