The Lancers fell to St. John Bosco 63-6 on Friday night. The loss drops OLu to an even 4-4 on the year and 1-2 in league play. Next up is J Serra on Homecoming on Friday, October 25.

The regular season wrapped up this past week for girls volleyball. On Monday, OLu hosted J Serra on senior night. In what was an intense match from start to finish the Lancers rallied from 2-0 down to win 3-2. On Tuesday, the Lancers fell in the final match of the season to Rosary 3-1. The loss forced a tiebreak for 3rd place in the Trinity League which Rosary won via a card draw. The Lancers finished the regular season 19-12 overall and 3-5 in league play. OLu will face #1 seeded Village Christian on Thursday in round 1 of the CIF Southern Section Divison 2 playoffs.

The girls golf team wrapped up the regular season this past Tuesday with a 230-242 win over Rosary. Freshman Alice Zhou shot a 42 to help secure the victory. OLu finished the season 10-8 overall and 2-6 in Trinity League play. The Lancers have League Finals on Tuesday, October 22 where the top 16 overall will advance to day 2. OLu is also qualified for the CIF Playoffs and will await their placement in the coming weeks.

Boys Water Polo
The boys water polo continued to their incredible run of close wins with another thriller on Tuesday night against Huntington Beach. The Lancers won on a golden goal by senior Riley Catino in the 3rd overtime session 13-12. Senior Mason Killion led all players with 8 points (4 goals and 4 assists) in the victory. Goalie Brennis Lidecis had 9 saves in the win. On Wednesday the Lancers moved a step closer to a Trinity League title with a commanding 22-3 win over St. John Bosco. Junior Cole Harvey had an astounding 7 goals in the contest. Senior Zach Baxter and freshman Wade Sherlock each chipped in 5 points. The third of four games for the Lancers was on Thursday against Palos Verdes. The Lancers fell 11-8. They would wrap up their week with a 13-9 win versus Cathedral Catholic on Saturday. Senior Riley Catino had 8 goals in the win.

The Lancers fell in their lone match of the week 13-5 to Santa Margarita. OLu drops to 8-6 overall and will wrap up the regular season next week against J Serra and Rosary.

The Lancers cross country team competed in the Orange County Championships at Oak Canyon Park on Saturday, October 19. The boys finished 17 overall in the varsity sweepstakes race. Senior Garrett Boezinger was 29th overall with a time of 15:22.
The girls team finished 12th overall in the varsity sweepstakes race. Junior Sophia Gutierrez finished 21st overall with a time of 18:06. Sophomore Sofia Gibson was 35th.

The Varsity D1 Lancer hockey team won 7-4 over Cheery Creek (Denver) on Friday night. The Varsity D3 team beat Damien 2-1 on Saturday.
