Football
The Lancers football team had a bye this week as they prepare to open Trinity League play on Friday, September 30, against Santa Margarita. OLu is currently 4-1 after the non-league slate. Maxpreps has the Lancers ranked #15 in California and #12 in the Southern Section after the first five contests.

Girls Volleyball
On the court, the Lancers girls volleyball team split their two games this week to go to 17-7 overall and 1-2 in league.
The week started with a tough defeat to top-five ranked Mater Dei on Tuesday, but OLu bounced back with a resilient 3-2 win on the road against St. Margaret’s the next night.
This weekend they participate in their final tournament of the season, the Freeway Games, held in Corona.
Girls Golf
The Lancers opened the week with a 3rd place finish at the Rainbow Sandals Tournament in San Clemente, shooting 402 as a team. Jayne Sung finished 3rd individually as well.
That was followed up with their Trinity League opener on Tuesday, where the girls got a 19-shot win over JSerra to move to 12-0. They played on the road in the next match against top-ranked Santa Margarita in a showdown of undefeated teams. The Eagles beat the Lancers 181-206, resulting in the Lancers first loss of the season.
OLu is currently 12-1 overall and 1-1 in league play.
Hockey
The Lancers opened the season on September 10 with a 3-2 win over Damien. They have been off since but return to the ice this weekend with two games against St. Mary’s and Pacific Ridge.
Boys Water Polo
In the pool, the boys water polo team went 3-2 at last weekend’s South Coast Tournament, winning games against Beckman, San Clemente, and Redwood.
They lost their only other match of the week in overtime to The Bishops 12-10. OLu is 5-6 overall as they open up Trinity League play on Tuesday against Santa Margarita.
Girls Tennis
Girls tennis opened up Trinity League play on Thursday against Santa Margarita, a 15-3 defeat. The Lancers are currently 4-5 overall and continue league action against Rosary and Mater Dei next week.
Cross Country
The cross country team is back on the course for the Dana Hills Invitational held on Saturday morning and afternoon. It is the Lancers 3rd race of the season and the first since the Woodbridge Invitational last Thursday.
