Athlete Profiles
Throughout each season, one athlete from each sport is selected as a profile athlete. This week’s profile features senior softball player Tessa Jerue and sophomore STUNT athlete Abbie Prather.
Hockey
The OLu hockey team is headed to Plymouth, Minnesota, to take part in the USA Nationals Hockey tournament. OLu will open play on Thursday morning against Culver Academy at 10:45 AM. Click HERE for the full schedule, and follow the Athletics Instagram for coverage of the tourney.

Baseball
On the diamond, the Lancers are currently 6-5 after splitting two games against Servite this week. OLu finishes the series with the Friars on Saturday morning before they head into a three-game series with Mater Dei.
The Lancers are currently ranked #5 in the CIF-SS Division 1 poll.
Softball
The Lancer softball team is currently 7-4 after opening Trinity League play with a win over Santa Margarita. Brianne Weiss had 15 strikeouts while Cate Medvitz, Zara Mineo-Schrank, and Emi Todoroki had RBI's.
OLu recently finished the Dave Kops Tourney in Laughlin, Nevada, 3-2, with wins over Crescenta Valley, Perry, and Torrance.
Girls Lacrosse
The girls lacrosse team notched a double-overtime victory over Dana Hills on Thursday night to push their record to 5-3.
The Lancers are currently ranked #4 in the CIF Division 3 poll.
Beach Volleyball
On the sand, the girls beach volleyball team is 5-4 overall, with five games remaining in the season. OLu will take on Dana Hils before wrapping up the regular season with four Trinity League matches.
Boys Tennis
The Lancers tennis team fell in their lone match of the week against Santa Margarita. They continue Trinity League play next week when they take on Servite and Mater Dei.
Boys Lacrosse
The boys lacrosse team is off to a 3-2 start on the year with wins over Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, and Irvine. They take on Canyon on Monday.
Boys Volleyball
On the court, the boys volleyball team is flying high with a 9-4 record. They opened Trinity League play on Wednesday with a 3-0 sweep of Santa Margarita.
Next week is a busy one, with back-to-back league matches against Bosco and Mater Dei before they travel to Honolulu for the Iolani Tournament.
Boys Golf
The boy's golf team is 2-0. They have beaten Marina and Yorba Linda in their two matches. Rain has wiped out several matches since the first two. They will look to continue play on Monday against Yorba Linda.
Track & Field
Last week the Lancers competed in the Irvine ASICS meet. David Tilley finished 5th with a long jump of 40.5, which was a personal record. Sarabella Stakely finished 7th in the 400m on the frosh/soph race with a run of 105.99.
The Lancers are back on the track this weekend at the Triton Invitational.
Swim & Dive
The OLu swim team opened up the 2023 season with a meet against Santa Margarita. Both captains, Wade Sherlock and Kira Anderson had great races that set the tone and led the team of mixed levels.
Diver Makenna Milne medaled at the Mission Viejo High School Invitational. Her performance qualified her for CIF.
STUNT
The Lancers STUNT team opened their second season in the Big Orange Battle Tournament on Friday and Saturday. Read the season preview HERE.
