Boys Basketball
The boys basketball team is in the CIF Championship for the first time since 2011-12. They will play Tesoro at Edison High School on Saturday night at 8:30 pm.

Girls Basketball
The girls basketball team has made a run to the CIF Finals for the second straight season. They will play Marlborough at the Honda Center at 1 pm on Saturday.

Girls Water Polo
The girls water polo team won their 2nd ever CIF-SS Title in program history last weekend over Foothill 11-8. Read the full recap.
They were then drawn into the CIF State Regional Open division and beat Helix and Bishops in back-to-back games to earn a berth in the State Regional Final against Foothill on Saturday afternoon. The game will be at 3 pm at Foothill.

Boys Soccer
The boys soccer team won their first CIF-SS Title since 1999 on a snowy and windy day at Littlerock High School, 3-0. Read the full recap.

OLu will enter the State Regional playoffs on Tuesday, February 28. The draw will take place on Sunday.
Wrestling
The Lancers were represented by four wrestlers at the CIF Masters meet last weekend. Read the recap of how all four fared.
Hockey
The OLu hockey team fell in the quarterfinal round of the Division 1 hockey playoffs on Thursday night, 3-1, to Tahoe Prep.
They will open the State Tournament on Friday, March 3, with a game against Santa Margarita at 11:30 at Anaheim Ice. The Lancers will look to add their 6th state title if they can come away victorious next weekend.
Baseball
The Lancers baseball team is undefeated through their first six games of the 2023 season. They opened the season in the PBR tournament and went 3-0-1. The tie occurred in the championship game, where OLu and Gahr ended at 4-4 due to the sprinkler system delaying the end of the game.
On their road trip to Arizona, the Lancers have beaten Canyon View and Hamilton in subsequent games.
Softball
The softball team is off to a 2-1 start after winning both games in the SoCal’s Best Showcase this past week. Three other games were called off due to rain.
OLu will be off until the Dave Kops Tournament in Laughlin starting on March 9.
Girls Lacrosse
Following an open night loss to Chapparal, the girls lacrosse team has scored three straight victories to get to 3-1 overall. This past week they beat Esperanza 18-3 and Martin Luther King 8-5.
Boys Lacrosse
The boys lacrosse team is off to a flying start with back-to-back road wins to open the season. They defeated Roosevelt 5-4 in the opener and followed that up with a 9-2 win over Long Beach Wilson. OLu will have two games this coming week including the home opener on Friday, March 3.
Beach Volleyball
In their only match of the week, the Lancers defeated Edison 3-2 to go 3-0 against the Sunset League on the season. They had two other games called off due to rain.
Boys Tennis
The boys tennis team fell in the lone match of the week to Yorba Linda 12-6. Their second match was canceled due to rain.
Track & Field
In the first Track & Field meet of the 2023 season, the Lancers competed at the Eagle Invite. Below are notable performances.

- Jordyn Gallegos Varsity 100m 13.50
- Ava Barrett Varsity 100m 13.66
Boys Volleyball
The boys volleyball team opened the 2023 season with a win over Kennedy 3-1. After dropping the first set, they rallied to win the next 3 convincingly to take the victory.
They are in the Foothill Tournament this weekend.
