We are excited to announce, that Stephanie Schuster will be our new Head Song coach at Orange Lutheran. We are thrilled to have her join the spiritleader program and get started with tryouts June 3rd.
Stephanie was born and raised in Orange County, CA. She began dancing at the age of 3 and trained at West Coast School of the Arts where she danced competitively for fifteen years. Stephanie’s specialty was jazz and lyrical but fell in love with pom when she became part of the varsity song squad at Los Alamitos High School. During her time on the Los Al song squad, Stephanie experienced traveling to Florida to compete at a national level and to win numerous national titles.
Stephanie began her coaching career at Esperanza High School. There she was the head varsity coach and taught weekly technique classes to the junior varsity squad. As head coach, Stephanie led her song team to numerous USA and NDA national titles in both the pom and jazz division. Stephanie continued her coaching career when she started the Yorba Linda High School song program during their first year open as a new school. She coached at Yorba Linda High School for several years helping to build and shape a strong and successful song program. Stephanie is a dedicated coach and loves being an influential part of her students' lives. She strives to make being a member of her team a positive, successful, and memorable experience.
For the past eight seasons Stephanie has been on the judging panel for US Spiritleaders' competitions. She has loved critiquing and giving positive feedback to song squads to help them improve their routines and scores. Judging for US Spiritleaders has really helped Stephanie learn to mold and perfect a routine and to know exactly what the judges are looking for. She knows this will be an invaluable asset for the upcoming competition seasons.
Stephanie is ecstatic to join the OLu family. She plans to continue the tradition of excellence at OLu and to continue to build a strong and successful song program. She feels so blessed to share her love and passion for dance and to be a positive Christian role model for her team.by Steve Mattoon
